Annie’s Sweet Oven - A Hidden Gem in Sylmar, CA

We stopped here for a breakfast treat on our way to Tahoe. Everyone in our party was impressed, from the smoothie, to the egg sandwiches, to the pastries and coffee drinks. All were delicious. They even gave us free cookies as first timers. We want to make it a tradition to stop here for every roadtrip up North.

Anyone who lives out here knows that Sylmar is a food desert, so I figured that this cafe was just a mirage too good to be true…but finally, I found a perfect cafe out here!! It has a nice ambience when you walk in, someplace you could actually spend some time in. The young man at the register was so sweet and took the time to walk me through the highlights of their menu since I mentioned it was my first time. The monkey bread muffin I got was fresh and decadent and the chai latte I got was strong and sweet!! This place really exceeded my expectations in every regard. Go try it!

You can tell that everything was made with love. I stopped in mostly because I saw reviews that they have a bathroom- I can confirm they do have a bathroom and, it is very clean. Everything inside was clean actually, nice and organized and you can tell the staff really care about this place. To start, I got a free cookie for being a first time customer and I chose the chocolate chip. It was very delicious, not dry, not super crumbly - the perfect soft texture with a little bit of crunch. I also ordered the BLT and I don't know where they get their bacon from but it is the most bacony tasting bacon I've had. There was so much bacon on it and a good price! The homemade sourdough was delicious and I would order a whole loaf honestly. I also noticed that they had wellness shots, sea moss and take-home and bake desserts in the refrigerator section. I always judge a new coffee place on it's chai and my dirty chai was better than Starbucks, the perfect amount of chai and espresso and it wasn't overly sweet. Next time I come through I'm definitely going to try other things. I also got a pumpkin cream cheese muffin and that was delicious as well, a little bit of crumble the perfect amount of pumpkin but not overwhelming. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Annie’s sweet oven never goes wrong . Everything’s made fresh . Feels like home and Annie is always so sweet. Everything on Menu is fresh and delicious pastries are unique and yummy . Very charming inside as well. Only flaw they close at 2pm . Me and my husband love this place best place in Sylmar in my opinion

It was my first time visiting this coffee shop, I passed by one day and the sweet oven sign jumped out at me so I decided to check it out. I was not disappointed. My breakfast croissant was delicious, my matcha latte was great. I also bought a chocolate chip cookie, it was also very good. This coffee shop is cute and quaint. Very friendly customer service. I will be coming back. Support small businesses!

Thought I was gonna have a bad day today so I wanted to try a new coffee shop and ended up here and -wow- what a treat! Not only was the coffee amazing but the pastries were incredible too I got a macchiato, spinach feta croissant, and was so graciously given a cookie ans tip all for under $10! My day was productive and eventful thanks to starting it here

Amazing pastries. Small clean location. They open a little late for a bakery shop but well worth it. My place to come for pastries

The service here was absolutely wonderful, the gentleman behind the counter was so nice, he even gave us free cookies as first-timers. The berry danish was delectable and the coffee was really good. Highly recommend, especially for the pastries!
